Report: Icardi Now Open to Idea of Staying at PSG After Loan

Signing a striker is not a priority for Paris Saint-Germain when the summer transfer window opens but it very well could be if Mauro Icardi makes it public that he wants out of the French capital when his loan from Inter Milan expires at the end of the season.

However, according to CalcioMercato.com, Icardi is now open to staying at PSG despite rumors that he wanted to return to Italy after his loan. It will cost the Ligue 1 champions €70 million to sign the Argentine permanently but considering his quality, that could actually be a bargain.

There is one caveat though. If Juventus FC expresses a strong interest in Icardi, as was previously reported, he would likely push for a move to the Bianconeri as living in Italy would make life easier for his family that remains based in the country.

This season, Icardi scored 20 goals in 31 appearances but has tailed off towards the end of the season and didn’t play a single minute against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
