Former Paris Saint-Germain forward, Ezequiel Lavezzi, retired from professional football last December but he’s back in the news and not for a good reason either.
According to La Nacion (via Le Parisien), Lavezzi and his girlfriend, Natalia Borges, were recently contacted by hackers who threatened to release intimate videos and photos online unless they pay $5,000 for every photo and video.
“They starting writing to him from two Instagram accounts. Not only him but also his girlfriend, the Brazilian model Natalia Borges, 35-years-old and with whom he lives,” sources close to the case told La Nacion. “Specifically, these people tell him that they have their videos and conversations and they give details of the content, so it is credible. Although if they were false it would be extortion anyway.”
The extorsion attempt led to Lavezzi contacting his lawyer, Mauricio D’Alessandro, who proceeded in filing two complaints with the prosecutor’s office in Buenos Aires. The complaints are for extortion and the dissemination of private images.
The Argentine publication also reports that Lavezzi is currently in Saint Barthélemy with Borges during the coronavirus crisis and that’s where the couple started receiving the threats via social media.
Lavezzi played for PSG from 2012 to 2016 before joining Hebei China Fortune to finish out his career. During his time in the French capital, Pocho scored 35 goals and recorded 24 assists in 161 appearances.
