PSG Talking Podcast: What Life Is Like in Paris During the Coronavirus Crisis

A once-bustling city has gone silent as the coronavirus pandemic has forced Paris to go into lockdown and force citizens to stay indoors.

On this episode of PSG Talking, I’m joined by Pola Henderson who lives in Paris and has been impacted by the French government’s orders to shelter in place due to the health crisis.

We start the show by talking about the empty streets, the depleted grocery stores, and the necessary paperwork citizens must fill out before leaving the house.

Paris Saint-Germain hasn’t played a competitive match since March 11, so there’s very little football to talk about, but we do touch on the win over Borussia Dortmund and whether or not we’ll see Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League return this season.

With so many football fans stuck inside their homes around the world, Pola shares a recent Netflix find called “The English Game.” The series focuses on the origins of football in England and was created by Julian Fellowes of Downton Abbey fame.

Let us know in the comments what you’re watching to pass the time until football returns or find us on Twitter @PSGTalk. As always, thank you for listening and be sure to subscribe and rate the show wherever you download your podcasts.
