Mbappé May Not Be 100 Percent Healthy For Champions League Clash Against Dortmund

The news just keeps getting worse for Paris Saint-Germain ahead of their UEFA Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund this Wednesday.

After last Saturday’s meeting with RC Strasbourg was postponed, it was announced that the Dortmund clash will be played behind closed doors, and now, there is a growing concern that Kylian Mbappé may not be 100 percent healthy.

According to Le Parisien, the Frenchman was not in training on Monday morning at the Camp des Loges after the team had the day off on Sunday. Confirmed by the club, Mbappé is sick and has a sore throat.

Mbappé will be evaluated on Monday and hopefully, he can return to the pitch on Tuesday, which is cutting it close considering PSG will face Dortmund in the most important match of the season just 24-hours later.

The club remains optimistic that Mbappé will be in the starting lineup but how much he can contribute won’t be known until kickoff. Any dip in form would be devastating for PSG. Mbappé has been in scintillating form recently having scored six goals over the last three matches. Thomas Tuchel will need his superstar performing at the best of his ability to overturn a 2-1 deficit to Dortmund.
