Mbappé Made ‘Very Large Donation’ to Help the Homeless During Coronavirus Crisis

Kylian Mbappé is a special player on the pitch but he might be even more impressive off of it.

On Friday, the Abbé Pierre Foundation—a French non-profit organization that focuses on helping disadvantage people without housing—announced via their official website that Mbappé made “a very large donation.”

The donation comes in light of the coronavirus crisis that has had a devastating impact on France. With the country on lockdown, the homeless are particularly vulnerable and Mbappé’s donation will help provide shelter to those in need.

Part of a statement from Abbé Pierre Foundation read:

“[Mbappé’s] generosity will make it possible in particular to implement first aid actions: access to water and hygiene for people in very precarious situations, access to food and shelter for homeless people, etc. The Foundation sends it most sincere thanks to Kylian MBappé and his generosity and his attention towards people in great precariousness.”

In addition to Mbappé’s donation, Paris Saint-Germain sold a limited-edition jersey that raised €200,000 for Paris hospitals, donated another €100,000 to the Secours Populaire Français charity to help those in need during this health crisis, and Neymar Jr. Comics made their entire collection available to provide children stuck at home with an escape.

Thank you Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain for leading the charge on helping those in need during this unfathomable situation.
