After Borussia Dortmund’s 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, Neymar Jr. praised Jadon Sancho as a “special player.”
Even before PSG got an up-close look at the England international, they were impressed with his game-changing ability.
The Telegraph reported last year that the Ligue 1 giants were prepared to battle Manchester United for Sancho’s services with a fee of approximately €115 million thought to be the number needed to pry him away from the Bundesliga (Transfermarkt rates Sancho at €120 million)
Unfortunately for PSG, money won’t be enough to lure Sancho to the French capital as The Telegraph (via Culture PSG) reports that the capital club has fallen out of favor and Sancho is expected to sign for Manchester United this summer with Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC thought to be in the race as well. Manchester City, Sancho’s former club, has the first right of refusal according to the report.
Since Sancho likely won’t be residing in Paris any time soon, let’s hope PSG can give him a nice parting gift on March 11 and knock Dortmund out of the Champions League.
