Paris Saint-Germain extended their lead to 3-1 over Dijon FCO in the second half thanks to a headed goal from captain Thiago Silva.
In the 50th minute, Silva lined up in the box and waited for a corner from Pablo Sarabia.
The Spaniard whipped a ball in and was likely aiming for the 6’2″ Tanguy Kouassi but Sarabia’s pass went over his head and fell to Silva who was completely unmarked and all he had to do was direct the ball into the back of the net.
It doesn’t get much easier than that, which is a good sign considering PSG has struggled to score off of corner kicks for much of the season. Being able to capitalize from set-pieces will be crucial in the knockout phase of the UEFA Champions League, which begins next Tuesday against Borussia Dortmund.
