Neymar Lists Manchester United Star as One of the Best Players Not in the Champions League

The Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League is nearly halfway complete and we’ve already seen several surprising results, including Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund.

Many of the game’s biggest names are battling it out for the biggest trophy in club football but many are watching from home.

In a video posted on the OTRO Twitter account, Neymar Jr. revealed his top four players who are not in the Champions League this year:

Up first, Neymar selects Manchester United’s Paul Pogba who he described as “one of the most skilled athletes, one of the best in the world, in my opinion, in his position today.”

Neymar’s second pick is somewhat surprising given his age. Former PSG forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic makes the list at 38-years-old. The two never played together in the French capital but Neymar calls the big Swede “one of the best strikers.”

A little bit of bias crept into Neymar’s next two selections.

Fellow Brazilians Lucas Lima (Palmeiras) and Nenê (Fluminense) round out the list. Neymar says he picked Lima “for his technical quality” and calls him one of the best players he’s played with as well as one of the most intelligent. Nenê is another former PSG player and Neymar praises his “extraordinary skill.”

  1. you have got to laugh, Pogba cannot be bothered to turn out for his team, because he twisted his ankle. his Team mate Scotty, smashes his knee, recovers in half the time. Yet he is supposed to be 1 of the best not playing champions league. give it a rest. Needs to show he can do it for more than 1 game a year.
