Angel Di Maria has had one of his best seasons ever as a Paris Saint-Germain player. He’s been so good in fact that manager Thomas Tuchel had to figure out a way to play a 4-4-2 formation just to fit him in the starting lineup alongside Mauro Icardi, Kylian Mbappé, and Neymar Jr.
As great at El Fideo has been, his corner kicks could use a lot of work as our good friend @AliTactics pointed out on Twitter. Going back to the last international break, which was in mid-November, Di Maria has yet to play a dangerous ball into the opposing team’s penalty area.

PSG is not typically a team known for scoring off of corner kicks but they’re certainly not going to get it down with service like this from the Argentine.
This season, Di Maria has 10 assists through 27 appearances in all competitions this season including four against Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League. The fact that he can’t put in a decent cross is truly mind-boggling.
