Much of the focus is on the men’s side during UEFA Champions League Competition; however, the women are on the cusp of making their deep run in the European competition as Paris Saint-Germain Féminines are into the quarterfinals.
The women’s side will take on Arsenal F.C., the lone English club left in the competition. For PSG, the quarterfinals will be a real test to see how good the squad is this season. In the round of 32 and 16, they’ve taken on S.C. Braga and Breidablik UBK; not exactly the toughest of competitions.

Nonetheless, PSG can only play who’s in front of them. Also, playing against an English club based in London allows for the squad to exercise some demons. Last season their Champions League campaign came to an end in the quarterfinals against Chelsea F.C., so there’s some motivation to get past his round.
Looking ahead, if PSG can get by Arsenal, then it sets up for a marquee matchup against Olympique Lyonnais. Nevertheless, the lady Gunners are a difficult task as they’ve scored 19 goals through three rounds of the competition. They are being led by Vivianne Miedema, who leads the entire tournament with ten goals. Safe to say, the PSG defense will have its hands full this round.
Despite all that, the motivation is there for PSG, take care of business in the quarterfinals. After that, face rival Lyon, who are their dominant selves, as usual. Les Lyonnaises have scored 27 goals already and who are led by Ada Hegerberg with nine goals. PSG will face two high scoring offenses, but Les Parisiennes have an opportunity to announce themselves to the football world with two substantial potential victories en route to a possible European Championship.
