PSG Are Keeping an Eye on Juventus Midfielder

Although Paris Saint-Germain’s midfield looks stellar at the moment, more depth doesn’t hurt. This is why, according to Le10sport, both PSG and FC Bayern Munich are looking to add Emre Can to their midfield. Currently, with Juventus F.C., the German international isn’t having a great time in Italy at the moment.

After a decent first year with La Vecchia Signora, Can appears to have fallen out of favor with new manager Maurizio Sarri. Last year Can appeared in 37 matches for Juve; however, this season, he’s only appeared in four games while only coming off the bench.

Furthermore, the 25-year-old was left off the UEFA Champions League roster, which might be the final blow for Can. The lack of playing time isn’t one that Can expected when he made his move to Turin from Liverpool; however, after one season, it looks like his time is up, and PSG will be looking to pounce.

Although the midfield looks stellar and healthy, the capital club hasn’t hit the dog days of the season. They’ve yet to start competing in the domestic cups, so once those matches get underway, it’s only more wear and tear on the player’s bodies.

With an injury to Idrissa Gueye, PSG will want to have an excellent rotation to protect and preserve players for specific matches. They cannot afford to have someone like Gueye miss significant time once they enter the knockout rounds. If PSG can get Can at an affordable price, they’d be crazy not to bring him to Paris. Especially if they go on a deep run in the various competitions throughout the season.
