Paris Saint-Germain will look a lot different next season. If reports are accurate, Kylian Mbappé will leave the club this summer and join Real Madrid. In his wake will be a massive hole that PSG will need to fill both on and off the pitch.
Setting expectations and predicting how PSG will finish next season is challenging, but knowing where to go to wager on the club’s results isn’t. And while most casino bonuses across the globe are focused on slots and some casino card games, usually bets are separated by category: football, basketball, F1, and all the other individual sports.
Let’s start with PSG’s attack. Ousmane Dembélé and Gonçalo Ramos will likely feature often in the starting lineup next season. Plus, Xavi Simons is expected to return from loan at RB Leipzig. On the bench, Randal Kolo Muani and Kang-In Lee provide plenty of speed and technical ability. However, the attack does lack a superstar, with Mbappé moving on. PSG could bring in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen or another big-name goalscorer this summer.
In the midfield, Vitinha has blossomed into one of the best midfielders in Europe. He’ll be a starter in PSG’s midfield next season, along with 18-year-old Warren Zaïre-Emery, who has taken a giant leap in his development. Fabian Ruiz has typically filled the third midfield position, but I imagine PSG would want to upgrade that position. Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva could be an option for PSG, and Newcastle United FC’s Bruno Guimarães has been linked with a move to the French capital as well.
PSG’s defense will need the biggest improvement. There’s a real lack of depth that needs to be addressed, and the recent ACL injury to Lucas Hernández underscores the importance of defensive signings this summer. Marquinhos could be on the move, but I think it’s more likely he stays in Paris. Lucas Beraldo arrived last January and he will compete for a starting role. Achraf Hakimi will remain PSG’s starting right-back, and Nuno Mendes will start at left-back. Lille OSC’s Leny Yoro is the ideal signing to slot in at center-back, but PSG should also look at signing Lucas Hernández’s brother, Theo Hernández, from AC Milan.
PSG’s squad is young, and this season, they’ve gained valuable experience in the UEFA Champions League by reaching the semi-finals. By investing the funds saved by the departure of Mbappé, PSG will be able to invest in key signings to strengthen the starting lineup and add depth.
