Why PSG Face Time Crunch in Pursuit of Newcastle Midfielder, per Fabrizio Romano

The clock is ticking for clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, who are eyeing Bruno Guimarães. The Newcastle United standout has a release clause, but they will need to act swiftly to trigger it before the opportunity to secure the Brazilian slips away.

PSG might have some surplus funds this summer, mainly if the rumors about Kylian Mbappé leaving are true. They might use this opportunity to bolster their squad by investing in a top-notch midfielder to reinforce that area of the team.

Nonetheless, if Guimarães is the target that the capital club wants, transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that Guimarães’ £100 million release clause at Newcastle is only valid from the last week of May until the last week of June.

In his recent column for CaughtOffside, Romano noted that nothing is advanced or concrete for the 26-year-old. Furthermore, he mentions that no discussions are taking place now; it will take some days or weeks to understand more, and there are no fresh changes.
