After months of talks, PSG have agreed a deal to sell Bradley Barcola to Liverpool.
Fabrizio Romano has given the transfer his famous “here we go” treatment, claiming that there’s a “verbal agreement” between the clubs, and that documents are going to be exchanged within the next 24 hours.
The initial fee is £100m, with add-ons taking it to an eye watering £140m, close to a world record fee. The transfer insider claims it was “never in doubt”, but for a while progress was so slow we had our doubts.

PSG have worked hard to get their squad ready without Barcola, who hasn’t been in the squad for recent games. Maghnes Akliouche, Ferran Torres and Mika Godts have all arrived to strengthen the front line.
It’s still a blow for Luis Enrique’s team in the short term, but with so much money banked they can be confident they can get better in the long term, especially once the new additions settle in.

PSG have decided to leave Ousmane Dembele at home for tomorrow’s game, giving the France striker a few days off training after a long, exhausting summer for him.
Luis Enrique had a strong response to questions about PSG’s transfer business this summer.
