Paris Saint-Germain have a big decision ahead: Is Gianluigi Donnarumma still their long-term answer in goal? His deal runs through 2026, but the clock is ticking.

Since arriving from AC Milan in 2021, Donnarumma has had his share of standout performances, saving penalties against Liverpool and making crucial stops against Aston Villa and Arsenal this season.

But his time in Paris hasn’t been without issues. Costly mistakes, including the infamous error against Real Madrid in 2022, continue to raise questions about his reliability in the biggest moments.

Now, with PSG headed to the UEFA Champions League final and Donnarumma playing a key role in the run, the club has to weigh whether that’s enough to fully commit to him going forward.

As for Donnarumma, a return to Serie A remains a possibility. A reunion with AC Milan seems unlikely given the lingering tension with fans, but a move to one of their rivals wouldn’t be a surprise.

According to Fichajes, Manchester United are one of the clubs keeping a close eye on the Italian international. Since David de Gea’s departure, the Old Trafford side have struggled to find consistency in goal, and André Onana’s performances haven’t fully convinced the decision-makers.

The club’s sporting directors view Donnarumma as a potential market opportunity and are reportedly willing to offer around €60 million to bring him in.

Journalist Alfredo Pedullà recently reported that Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Juventus are all interested in signing Donnarumma, who could be on the move this summer if PSG doesn’t offer him a contract extension.
