Carlos Soler, who’s currently on loan from PSG, won’t be staying at West Ham United — but there’s still a chance he stays in the Premier League.
Soler joined West Ham last summer looking for more regular playing time and a fresh challenge. Several clubs showed interest, but West Ham managed to land him on deadline day.
That said, a report from Claret and Hugh in February indicated West Ham probably won’t take up the option to buy Soler included in the loan deal.
The transfer fee, just under €20 million, isn’t a big hurdle, but Soler’s high wages are causing headaches. That makes it challenging for West Ham to push through a permanent move.
Could Brighton keep PSG outcast in the Premier League?

Le Parisien reports that while his future won’t be with the Hammers, Brighton & Hove Albion are keen on the player.

Last month, Football Insider reported that West Ham United are unlikely to make Soler’s loan from PSG permanent. Instead, they plan to use the funds to strengthen other areas of the squad.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Soler, but it’s clear that his future isn’t in Paris.
