Marco Asensio has been making an impact on loan at Aston Villa, scoring twice in their FA Cup win over Cardiff City on Friday. He’s netted two goals in two of his last three matches for the Premier League side.
If he continues this form, there’s likely to be interest in him during the summer transfer window. Aston Villa will need to decide if they want to make his move permanent.
Asensio has quickly built a solid connection with Marcus Rashford, which could make Villa eager to keep him long-term. However, a La Liga club are also keen on bringing him back to Spain.
As a result, Aston Villa could be laying the ground work to ensure that Asensio remains at Villa Park long-term.

According to a previous report from Fichajes, Real Sociedad have made Asensio a top target for the summer transfer window. The club are looking to bolster its attack, especially with the possibility of losing Takefusa Kubo, who has drawn interest from several Premier League teams.
The reports don’t specify PSG’s asking price, but Transfermarkt values Asensio at €20 million.
