Paris Saint-Germain will take on Premier League leaders Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. PSG cruised past Stade Brestois with a dominant 10-0 aggregate win in the knockout play-off round, but they now face a much tougher test.
After winning the second leg, manager Luis Enrique met with the media and had a humorous response when asked whether he preferred facing Barcelona or Liverpool.
“I would like to face either Liverpool or Barça (laughs),” Enrique said. “I have a preference on who I want to face, yes, but I won’t reveal it publicly now. We’re ready for both. It’s easy, eh (smiles).”
Now that he knows that they’ll be facing Liverpool over two legs, the Spanish manager will need to devise a plan for his young team to shock the Reds and advance to the quarterfinals of the competition.

On Friday, after the draw was finalized, Marquinhos, who was part of PSG’s squad that faced Liverpool in the 2018 group stage, shared his thoughts on the matchup in an interview with PSG TV.
“It’s a team with experience in this competition,” Marquinhos said. “And we will have to play two great matches. Anyway, it’s the Champions League. If you want to win it, you need strong confrontations. We’re ready for that, and we will fight for qualification in these two duels.”
