Paris Saint-Germain will take on Premier League leaders Liverpool in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. PSG breezed past Stade Brestois 10-0 on aggregate in the knockout play-off round, setting up a tough challenge ahead.

After the second-leg win, manager Luis Enrique gave a humorous response when asked which team he’d prefer to face: Barcelona or Liverpool.

Now that the matchup with Liverpool is confirmed, Enrique will need to come up with a strategy to help his young team pull off an upset and make it to the quarterfinals.

Following the draw on Friday, Marquinhos, a member of the PSG squad that faced Liverpool in the 2018 group stage, shared his thoughts on the upcoming clash during an interview with PSG TV.

The draw isn’t ideal for Liverpool, especially given PSG’s current form with five straight UEFA Champions League wins, including an impressive comeback against Manchester City.

However, former Liverpool striker John Aldridge has highlighted something that could play in the Reds’ favor in this Champions League tie.

“Not a great champions league draw folks PSG and they’re flying!!” Aldridge wrote on X. “The good thing is away 1st leg. Winners play Brugge or Villa.”

The first leg will be on March 4 at the Parc des Princes and the return leg will be on March 11 at Anfield.
