A few days ago, The Athletic reported that Vinicius Jr.’s camp rejected the first offer made by Real Madrid as they attempt to tie down the Brazilian long-term amid interest from Saudi Arabia.
The Spanish club started contract talks in mid-January, using the initial discussions to gauge Vinicius’ demands. Madrid presented his representatives, Roc Nation, with a salary increase, but the first offer was quickly turned down.
Nonetheless, this news might have alerted those at Paris Saint-Germain to monitor the situation. The Parisians aren’t desperate for star power as they’ve been in the past and spent a lot of euros to obtain that player, but if an opportunity arises, perhaps PSG will do their homework and then pursue it.
Are PSG going to make two splashy moves in the summer?

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that the Ligue 1 side could plot two significant moves to bolster their squad under manager Luis Enrique, who is now under contract until 2027.
The first involves the goalkeeping position as Gianluigi Donnarumma has a contract until 2026. While his performances have improved, the report reveals that PSG have AC Milan standout Mike Maignan in their sight as a potential replacement for Donnarumma.
As for the other news in the report, Vinicius’ advisors have already had informal talks with PSG, who are keeping a close eye on the situation and could step in if he doesn’t get the offer he’s hoping for from Real Madrid.

Vinicius isn’t the only Real Madrid player PSG are reportedly keeping an eye on—rumors suggest they’re also interested in Rodrygo. It seems that if any Brazilian player is looking for a fresh start or a more prominent role, PSG could make a move, provided the right opportunity arises.
