As the summer transfer window closed, Paris Saint-Germain expressed interest in Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, and recent updates indicate they may look to pursue him again when the January window opens in a few months. However, they face competition.

PSG’s struggles to find the back of the net have raised concerns about the effectiveness of their attack. Lookman, who has attracted interest from several clubs in the past, including Arsenal and Liverpool, has made a significant impact since joining Atalanta in 2022.

Additionally, last month, Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported that Lookman remains open to taking on a new challenge, suggesting a possible winter move could be on the table.

While Atalanta president Percassi blocked a transfer for the 26-year-old versatile striker this past summer, a deal in January may still be feasible, with a price tag estimated between €25 million and €30 million, as Lookman’s current contract runs until 2026.

TEAMTalk reported on Saturday, citing sources, that West Ham United are among several clubs monitoring Ademola Lookman, the Atalanta winger who has caught the eye of teams looking to bring him back to the Premier League.

The report also indicates that Atalanta are asking for over £60 million for any potential sale. However, the club is aware that Lookman’s contract is winding down, and they’re looking to extend it by a couple of years to maintain his market value.

West Ham have been interested in Lookman for some time, tracking him up until the summer transfer window of 2024. TEAMTalk ends their report noting that the Hammers still hold him in high regard, but they are facing competition from three other Premier League clubs whose identities remain unknown.
