Manchester United successfully outmaneuvered Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid to secure the signing of former LOSC Lille defender Leny Yoro this past summer. Recent reports shed light on the factors that may have influenced his choice to join the club at Old Trafford.
The Premier League team reportedly agreed to a deal worth €62 million, plus an additional €8 million, outbidding all other offers for the teenager from the Ligue 1 side. In addition to a substantial transfer fee, the Red Devils also offered Yoro an attractive salary.
According to MARCA, Yoro preferred Manchester United’s contract, which included a salary of €9.5 million, far exceeding Real Madrid’s €2 million proposal.
