Manchester United are pursuing three players that have been on Paris Saint-Germain’s transfer radar over the last few months. With Ruben Amorim now in charge at Old Trafford, the Premier League side are looking at Portugal to scoop up players.

Recently, Foot Mercato reported that PSG, Manchester City, and Manchester United are closely monitoring 17-year-old Geovany Quenda from Sporting Lisbon.

According to L’Équipe’s Loïc Tanzi, the Parisians are keeping a close eye on Viktor Gyökeres and are preparing to make their move in the summer of 2025. PSG’s sporting advisor, Luís Campos, has reportedly already reached out to the player’s representatives.

In August, Loïc Tanzi from L’Équipe reported that PSG had offered Tomás Araújo a €5 million annual contract, but the deal hinged on selling a center-back first. However, a deal wouldn’t transpire for the defender.

Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol reports that Gyökeres, Quenda and Araújo are Amorim’s three leading targets from the Primeira Liga.

“Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim’s focus at Old Trafford remains on working with and developing, the current squad of players,” Solhekol told Sky Sports News.

“Since his arrival from Sporting, rumours surrounding some of his former players have continued to emerge. However, the Portuguese coach is believed to have not made any requests about buying players in January – including Portugal-based Viktor Gyökeres, Geovany Quenda and Tomás Araújo.”

TEAMtalk did the math, and if all three players departed for their full exit clauses, the Red Devils could be spending up to £249.3 million (€300 million and $317.3 million).
