Several European clubs are keen on Sporting Lisbon’s standout Viktor Gyökeres heading into 2025. Nonetheless, one pundit advises the Swedish standout to head to a specific destination that could maximize his traits.
Loïc Tanzi of L’Équipe recently claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are closely monitoring Gyökeres, with plans to target him in the summer of 2025. PSG’s sporting advisor, Luís Campos, has already reached out to the striker’s representatives.
Meanwhile, The Daily Briefing mentions that Manchester United are preparing to make a move for Gyökeres, with coach Rúben Amorim—who worked with the striker in Lisbon—leading the effort.
Additionally, Diario AS has reported that Manchester United are willing to activate Gyökeres’ €100 million release clause to seal the deal.
A former player wants Viktor Gyökeres to join Arsenal
The player’s close confidant and former Arsenal star Anders Limpar has revealed that he advised him to consider no club other than Arsenal for his next move.
“I know Gyökeres very well personally, I was a bit of a mentor for him when he played for Brommapojkarna, he and Ludwig Augustinsson. So, I’ve talked a lot about professional life with him,” Limpar told FotbollDirekt (h/t TEAMtalk).
“He’s a fantastically hardworking forward who scores a lot of goals. If we at Arsenal [were to] buy Gyökeres, then he would definitely call me. But then to see Gyökeres at Arsenal, that would be crazy.”
What i know as a Gooner is that it will be a monumental failure for the club in January if they fail to land any of Samu Omorodion or Gyokeres or Isak as our top striker.
We also need a strong right footed Central defender like Diomande of Sporting Lisbon or Ronald Araujo of Barcalona. Without that a lengthy injury to Saliba will automatically end any title chase. Any of those two players will cost nothing less than 60m pounds so a third option, Inter Milan’s Bisseck, will also not be ruled out. We rate him somewhere between 16 to 30m pounds.
We can add little money to Kiwior as a swap deal.
Up Gooners!!!
