Achraf Hakimi is reportedly nearing a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain, though, as is often the case in football, nothing is set until the deal is signed.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported last month that PSG and Hakimi are ironing out final details, such as the contract length and salary. At the same time, the Parisians may still be considering options to bring in competition for Hakimi.

According to Fichajes, Real Madrid are eyeing Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract expires in June 2025.

TEAMtalk reported earlier this month that Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also interested, but Real Madrid believe they have the best chance of signing him if he decides to leave Liverpool.

According to TBR Football, Liverpool are ready to make Alexander-Arnold the highest-paid English player in the Premier League if he agrees to a new contract. Meanwhile, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and PSG are all closely monitoring the situation.

Defensa Central reported earlier this month that Liverpool are open to letting their right-back leave Anfield in January for €50 million (£42 million or $54.3 million)—a steep price considering he could leave on a free transfer just a few months later.

It will be interesting to see what Liverpool decide if Alexander-Arnold doesn’t accept this reported contract extension offer.
