Paris Saint-Germain expressed strong interest in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this past summer, but a transfer never materialized. Now, the winger and Napoli are struggling to agree on a contract extension, with clubs looking to gain an advantage in the race for his signature.
Journalist Graeme Bailey recently revealed to Rousing the Kop that Kvaratskhelia is on Liverpool’s radar as they plan for life after Mohamed Salah.
“When you’ve got the likes of possibly Kvaratskhelia on the market, let’s not forget that Liverpool have just brought in the second best Georgian player,” Bailey said. “Liverpool are all over Kvaratskhelia, they know about the situation, there might be a chance of getting him next summer.”
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, PSG and Barcelona are stepping up their efforts and applying pressure to secure a deal for next summer, with a resolution expected in the coming weeks.
What’s the latest on the Khvicha Kvaratskhelia transfer rumor?
Football agent Dario Canovi spoke on Radio Marte and, with the winger under contract until 2027, believes that the Serie A side should sell the player for the right price.
“Napoli’s approval is always needed if he wants to leave,” Canovi said (h/t Le10Sport). “Of course, either he renews, or we have to think about selling him under favorable conditions. Everyone has a price, even Kvara, so I would sell him at the right price.”
La Repubblica reports that Barcelona are already working on an offer for the Napoli player, with discussions between the parties already underway. The Italian publication even suggests that the final cost of the deal could reach €80 million.
