Paris Saint-Germain’s signing of Randal Kolo Muani initially looked like a smart move, bringing in a talented French player in his prime. However, things haven’t gone as planned, and now rumors of a potential exit are circulating.

With the January transfer window on the horizon, intermediaries have reportedly started exploring interest from several Premier League clubs, including Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Newcastle United, regarding Kolo Muani’s availability, as noted by TBR Football.

According to L’Équipe, PSG has been underwhelmed by Kolo Muani’s performances and is already open to the idea of a transfer, valuing him at around €40 million to €50 million.

With his wages and transfer fee, it appears that only Premier League clubs could afford the 2022 FIFA World Cup runner-up. Nonetheless, one top six club does make sense for Kolo Muani should they decide to take a gamble on him.

Arsenal was in the market for a No. 9 this past summer transfer window. However, the Gunners decided against overspending for a striker, but with the January window nearing, could they decide to pursue a player that can help them with their goal-scoring?

PSG invested €90 million in the forward, but how he’s performed over the last year. As a result, Football Transfer’s Robin Bairner believes that the Ligue 1 side will need to loan him out to bolster his profile, with a potential landing spot being the Emirates Stadium.

“Yeah, that’s not a bad idea, actually, because obviously they’ve been limited a lot to Kai Havertz, who struggled a bit [on Saturday] from what I saw against Newcastle,” Football Transfer’s Robin Bairner said on the latest PSG Talk Extra Time podcast.

“They’ve obviously got Gabriel Jesus, but they have been looking for a pure center forward, I guess, almost in this Kolo Muani mold. But equally, they’ve been quite shrewd about the way they’ve approached it. They’ve not wanted to simply splash out money for the sake of spending money. They’ve wanted to make sure they’re not overpaying for players…

“In January, it’s very difficult to get value for money for players. So it may be that a loan to Arsenal could be an option there to try and reinvigorate both Kolo Muani and give Arsenal that extra option that Arteta wants in attack.”
