Lionel Messi doesn’t hide that his tenure with Paris Saint-Germain was far from ideal. Moreover, the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner isn’t afraid to reveal his true feelings about his two seasons in the French capital.

Former Toulouse and current Charlotte FC player Brecht Dejaegere noted what Messi thought about playing in Paris.

“Messi has always been my favorite player!” Dejaegere said. “It was crazy to run into him… And so, that day, he told me that for him, at PSG, it was ‘la mierda.’ Yes, ‘la mierda’ (He bursts out laughing).”

Over a year after leaving Paris, more stories are coming out about Messi’s stint. One of the latest news regarding the Argentine is that the former FC Barcelona had no respect for PSG club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.

“The challenge is that when you’re managing players who are more famous than the president, it creates issues,” Laurent Tapie, the son of former OM club chief Bernard Tapie, told the But Football Club show on Sud Radio (h/t Le10Sport). “With my father, it was different—he signed players who weren’t as well known as he was. That made things easier.

“Take someone like Nasser Al-Khelaifi at PSG. I have nothing against him personally, but he started as a tennis coach before becoming PSG’s president, and now he’s talking to Messi. When Messi hears Nasser speaking, it’s as if he’s not listening. He couldn’t care less about what Nasser has to say.”

Messi could face PSG next year as Inter Miami and the Parisians participate in the Club World Cup. As a result, it would add to the drama to see the South Florida-based team face the Ligue 1 side to open up the competition and spark interest in this tournament.L

All of Messi’s remarks will be mentioned, and it will be awkward if these two sides actually face each other.
