Victor Osimhen broke his silence over the failed permanent transfer that didn’t happen this past summer window. The Nigerian was linked to Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain until the final week.
Nonetheless, neither pulled the trigger on a deal to secure him from Napoli. As a result, a temporary solution was reached as the 25-year-old Galatasaray, where he’s proving to suitors that he’s a top No. 9.
So far, Osimhen is off to a good start this season with the Turkish side, recording two goals and four assists in four total appearances. Moreover, he noted that clubs shouldn’t shy away from paying a high price for him.
“I am worth over €100 million,” Osimhen said. “There are few players in the world like me, who have reached such style and success. It all relates to my characteristics, what I do, and my quality.”

Given the player’s strong performance lately, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared the latest updates on Osimhen. He discussed whether Chelsea has the upper hand in the race for the striker or if another club is poised to make a move for someone who seems to be regaining his 2022-23 form.
“I’ve said many times recently that Chelsea’s interest remains and they still like the player, but there are no negotiations ongoing and it would be disrespectful for Galatasaray as they paid important money to land Osimhen on loan,” Romano recently wrote. “So it’s all quiet for now, and once we get closer to January we will see the developments.”
