It’s been over a year since Ousmane Dembélé left FC Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain, but there’s still news connecting the two parties. This week, the Catalan side released a ‘management report’ to its socios (club members), providing a summary of the 2023-2024 financial year.

The 89-page document, reviewed by The Athletic, sheds light on the complex and sometimes chaotic management of the club, both under current president Joan Laporta and in previous administrations.

While reviewing the papers, The Athletic revealed on Friday that one of the legal cases mentioned in the document, due to its potential financial impact, involves a €10 million claim against Barcelona by Scores Sports Management.

The agency is seeking payment for its role in negotiating Dembélé’s transfer to PSG in August 2023. When PSG triggered that clause in August 2023, Barcelona would receive half of the €50 million and the player the other €25 million.

An agent who claims to have been involved in that transfer has now taken legal action against the Spanish side for €10 million they say is owed for their work in the deal. Barcelona say they have challenged this and the case is ongoing in a local court.
