Paris Saint-Germain are thriving in the post-Kylian Mbappé era so far this 2024-25 season. The Parisians have three wins in Ligue 1 and have scored 13 goals in those contests, which led a club chief to take a dig at the Frenchman.

Bradley Barcola has allowed PSG to forget about the 25-year-old, as the youngster has scored four goals in three league matches. Moreover, the 21-year-old continued scoring in the game between France and Italy.

With a group effort and Barcola reaching stardom, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi took an indirect swipe at Mbappé to praise how exciting the team is so far this season.

“We have a difficult Champions League draw, but we like big games and it will be an incredible spectacle for our fans,” Al-Khelaifi told MARCA. “The star of Paris Saint-Germain is not any individual player, it is our team, that is our star. And it is shining brightly.”

The real challenge for PSG will come after the international break when they have to face Girona and Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League while balancing Ligue 1 matches.

Can the squad handle the number of matches and do they have the depth when the regular starters need a rest? These next few weeks should be interesting.
