On Thursday, Le Parisien reported that the LFP’s legal committee has decided Paris Saint-Germain needs to pay Kylian Mbappé €55 million in unpaid salaries and bonuses.
The latest development follows Wednesday’s news that the commission reportedly encouraged both parties to seek mediation to resolve the issue without further legal escalation.
Nonetheless, in a statement sent to AFP, Mbappé’s entourage announced their rejection of the mediation proposed by the LFP regarding the financial dispute with PSG.
While the player has won this round, the AFP reported on Thursday that PSG has decided not to pay Mbappé the €55 million in unpaid salary and bonuses.

The club feels it will be necessary to sue to recover the funds. Moreover, former PSG player Jérôme Rothen stated that the capital club won’t pay the player.
“What is certain is that PSG is not going to pay,” Rothen said on Rothen s’enflamme (h/t Le10Sport). “That’s a certainty.”
It will be interesting to see how long PSG hold out and whether or not they’ll be forced to pay their all-time leading goal scorer.
