In recent days, Paris Saint-Germain has been linked to two center-backs, Tottenham Hotspur’s Cristian Romero and Arsenal’s William Saliba, to bolster its defense.
However, the French giants aren’t alone in this interest. Real Madrid has also been linked to those players. Moreover, the LaLiga side might be taking an extra step over PSG.
Regarding Romero, TyC Sports’ Gastón Edul reported that Romero attracted interest from PSG, Real Madrid, and Manchester United this summer. Despite the interest, Tottenham Hotspur were firm about not letting him go.
Meanwhile, CaughtOffside reported that Saliba is on the radar of Real Madrid, PSG, and Bayern Munich. Despite the slim chance of the Gunners letting Saliba go, given his contract runs until 2027 and they’d only consider offers in the range of at least €120 million or more.
According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid are sending a scout to the North London derby on Sunday to watch Saliba and Romero as they are weighing up potential moves for both players next summer.

It will be interesting to see if the Spanish giants do take the lead in the race for both players and plant the seeds to ensure they are willing to push for a move to Los Blancos.
