Former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot remains a free agent after his contract with Juventus expired in late June. Nonetheless, the player has been linked to top clubs like AC Milan and Manchester United but he’s yet to sign a contract.

Even though the midfielder came up through PSG’s youth system and was an impact player during his time, the capital club was reportedly in no hurry for a reunion with Rabiot.

RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins spoke on this subject and recalled that the 29-year-old was never in the capital club’s plans as it appears they are content with how their midfield situation is heading into the 2024-25 season.

“Did PSG inquire about Rabiot? No, not at all,” Hawkins said (h/t Sport.fr). “The management was looking for a midfielder and very quickly Neves’ profile emerged.

“That’s the player that Luis Campos and Luis Enrique wanted. I believe that Rabiot wasn’t even on the shortlist. He wasn’t part of the leads.”

The player could be playing the waiting game to see if an injury happens and a club reaches out, but for now, the player remains free and likely weighs his options before signing, and any team would be lucky to have an international player who is still in his prime years.
