West Ham Have $22M Bid for PSG-Linked Standout Rejected by Palmeiras, Report Says

Paris Saint-Germain was linked to Palmeiras’ Richard Rios to potentially bolster their midfield this summer following the departures of Cher Ndour to Beşiktaş and Gabriel Moscardo to Stade de Reims. Moreover, Manuel Ugarte appears to be on his way to Manchester United.

As a result, PSG’s reported interest in Rios made sense as to have the depth needed to compete in three competitions: Coupe de France, Ligue 1, and UEFA Champions League.

Nonetheless, UOL reported a few days ago that the president of Palmeiras has informed the board members that Rios is not for sale despite PSG’s increased offer of €20 million.

The Brazilian club has not only rejected the capital club’s interest in Rios but other European teams are being told no, too. Journalist Pipe Sierra reports that Palmeiras turned down a $22 million offer from West Ham for the 24-year-old.

Sierra adds that Palmeriras said they’re not interested in negotiating his transfer. At the moment, there are no new developments from the London side.

Rios joined Palmeiras in 2023 and has made 89 total appearances for the Brazilian side while scoring five goals and registering two assists.
