Manchester United in ‘Final Steps’ to Secure PSG’s €60M-Rated Ace, Romano Reports

The Manuel Ugarte to Manchester United transfer saga has entered its crucial stages with only days left in the summer transfer window. On Saturday, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided a critical update.

L’Equipe provided more details this week regarding where the Ugarte file stands. According to the French media outlet, negotiations between PSG and Manchester United for a loan deal with a €60 million obligation to buy for Ugarte are nearing a successful conclusion.

The two clubs have significantly narrowed their differences, and the deal could be finalized soon. Romano provided the latest on this saga and noted that the agreement is in its “final steps.”

Ugarte is just waiting for Manchester United to give him the final go-ahead. He’s had his mind set on joining them since the end of July. There haven’t been any bids for Atalanta’s Ederson. Right now, the focus is on wrapping up the Ugarte deal.

The PSG midfielder made 37 appearances across all competitions for the reigning Ligue 1 champions last season, recording three assists. Ugarte began the first half of the campaign in impressive fashion, but his minutes fell off in the second half as he was used more as a rotational player rather than a starter.
