PSG Too Late to Pursue Roma Star as Gonçalo Ramos Sidelined for Months, Reports Say

Paris Saint-Germain striker Gonçalo Ramos suffered an injury during the capital club’s 4-1 win over Le Havre on Friday. As a result, manager Luis Enrique wants another striker since the Portuguese striker could be out for a few months.

Ramos played 20 minutes in the match against Le Havre and set up Kang-in Lee’s goal just three minutes in. The 23-year-old would exit the contest early in the first half following his injury.

On Saturday, information surfaced regarding Ramos’ situation and PSG’s search for a short-term solution. Le Parisien reported that Ramos is set to miss three months after fracturing his left ankle and will need surgery to repair it.

According to Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport, PSG is now in the market for a new striker following Ramos’ injury. Furthermore, Ramos is expected to be sidelined for over three months after suffering a broken ankle ligament.

Journalist Abdellah Boulma conveyed that AS Roma forward Paulo Dybala has always had a desire to join PSG, but recent reports suggest he might be headed to Al Qadsiah FC in Saudi Arabia instead.

A move for Dybala would be ideal considering it’s a cheaper alternative than pursuing a player like Victor Osimhen. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see what PSG decide to do with the summer transfer window.
