PSG Targets Defenders on Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest’s Radar to Bolster Backline

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly looking at two players to back up Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes. However, if the capital club does pursue them, it will face competition from a couple of Premier League clubs.

This summer transfer window, the reigning Ligue 1 champions were linked to Feyenoord’s Lutsharel Geertruid. Nonetheless, at one point, this rumor cooled, but now in recent days, new information on this file has surfaced.

Moreover, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Aston Villa has now joined the chase, aiming to strengthen their defense by targeting Geertruida for the 2024-25 season.

Journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin provided new information regarding PSG’s interest in Geertruid and revealed that the French giants are also considering another left-back. According to Collet-Gaudin, PSG are staying busy, targeting left-back Bradley Locko and Geertruid.

Regarding Locko, the Stade Brestois defender is also on the radar of Premier League side Nottingham Forest. As for Geertruid, Foot Mercato’s Sébastien Denis reports that PSG are currently taking a wait-and-see approach.

Last season, Geertruida scored eight goals and recorded five assists in the Eredivisie, playing in 34 total league games while Locko made 35 appearances for Brest, registering three assists.
