Rayan Cherki of Olympique Lyonnais has attracted the attention of several top European clubs this summer, including Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur. Nonetheless, there’s conflicting information regarding the Parisians’ interest in Cherki.
Borussia Dortmund has been leading the race for his signature, with reports last month indicating that personal terms had already been agreed upon. However, RB Leipzig is also interested in Cherki as a potential replacement for Dani Olmo, who moved to FC Barcelona.
Foot Mercato reported this week that PSG have renewed its interest in Cherki. Manager Luis Enrique and sporting advisor Luís Campos are keen on the young talent, with Enrique specifically seeking another creative player. The report concludes by noting that Cherki seems to be a perfect fit for their plans.
Despite this reporting, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided his information, conveying that PSG aren’t planning to reopen talks for Cherki. The reigning Ligue 1 champions have shifted their focus to other priorities.

Whether this deal happens or not remains to be seen, but L’Equipe notes that a transfer is proving tricky due to the strained relationship between Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and John Textor, making negotiations challenging. Despite this, Cherki is still very eager to join PSG.
