Paris Saint-Germain could see midfielder Carlos Soler on the move this summer, based on recent reports. Despite links to Brighton and Hove Albion and Aston Villa, the midfielder appears to be returning to Spain.
Soler, who’s found himself in a rotational role at the capital club, might be looking for more playing time, especially since he didn’t make Spain’s UEFA Euro 2024 squad.
The 27-year-old has played in 26 matches during the 2023-24 season across all competitions for the French club, scoring once and providing four assists. Despite his limited playing time, teams are interested in the former Valencia standout.
Relevo‘s Matteo Moretto reports that Real Sociedad is in advanced negotiations with PSG for Soler. He is expected to replace Mikel Merino, who is moving to Arsenal.

In June, Cadena COPE reported that PSG and Real Sociedad are still discussing Soler and that the deal shouldn’t surpass €15 million. It seems this initial reporting proved accurate as Soler attempts to get his career back on track in Spain.
