PSG, Frankfurt to Approve Documents, Finalize Deal for Liverpool-Linked Defender, Romano Says

Paris Saint-Germain are still on the hunt for a center-back to bolster their defense this summer. After missing out on players like Leny Yoro and Dean Huijsen, it seems they’re finally closing in on their first defensive reinforcement.

This week, Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that PSG and Eintracht Frankfurt have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ecuadorian defender Willian Pacho.

Moreover, the reporting from Romano reveals that the deal includes a fixed fee of €40 million plus add-ons, with a five-year contract for Pacho. On Wednesday, Romano provided more information on this file as the transfer appears imminent.

According to Romano, PSG and Eintracht are set to approve all documents of the Pacho deal today. As a result, the 22-year-old will soon be traveling for his medical and contract signing.

If the Parisians secure Pacho, they’ll have beaten out Liverpool, who were reportedly interested in the Frankfurt defender as a possible replacement for Joel Matip and are prepared to offer around £50 million to bring him on board this summer.
