PSG and Real Madrid Clash for Chelsea’s €15M Rising Star Due to PSR Constraints, Report Says

Willian Pacho will reportedly be a defensive reinforcement for Paris Saint-Germain ahead of the 2024-25 season. However, the capital club isn’t stopping there and are keen on another player to bolster their backline.

This summer, Feyenoord’s Lutsharel Geertruida was on the Parisians’ radar to add more depth to the right-back position. However, that file went cold after June. Nonetheless, it seems the reigning Ligue 1 champions are looking for a versatile defender.

With the summer transfer window closing in a few weeks, the French giants need to hit overdrive on certain files to ensure they cover up any holes on the squad that’s entering its first season without Kylian Mbappé.

The Independent’s Miguel Delaney reports that PSG and Real Madrid are eyeing Chelsea’s Josh Acheampong, a versatile right-back who can also play as a center-back.

Both clubs value him at around €15 million and Chelsea may have to sell him due to their large squad and Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Acheampong played in 19 matches last season while scoring two goals and registering three assists across all competitions.
