Potential Surprise Signings For Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain has made three signings so far this summer, but if the 2024-25 season is going to be more successful than the last, additional signings are needed.

So far, PSG has signed three players in the summer transfer window: Matvey Safonov, João Neves, and Willian Pacho. However, with the departure of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid and Xavi Simons on loan to RB Leipzig, PSG will need to strengthen its attack. After all, you can rely on luck like you do at casino slots; you need talented players and enough depth to cover for injuries and suspensions.

The summer transfer window closes at the end of the month, which doesn’t give PSG much time to identify transfers, negotiate the deal, and finalize all of the details. However, I do think fans are in for a surprise signing this month. Here is who I think PSG could sign:

Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen has been rumored to be a PSG transfer target for several seasons now. The deal never went through because Napoli demanded a fee that was too high, and PSG refused to pay it. Now, with the Serie A club needing financial help, they are prepared to negotiate for the Nigeria international. As the window gets closer to closing, PSG may be able to use Napoli’s desperation against them and sign Osimhen as their starting striker.

Rafael Leão

Rafael Leão is one of the best attackers in Europe, and he plays on the left wing, which is a position PSG has been trying to upgrade all summer. While Bradley Barcola has a lot of upside, PSG clearly wants to sign a proven goalscorer. Leão is under contract with AC Milan until 2028, and they would expect a significant transfer fee. PSG may have to part ways with Gonçalo Ramos to facilitate the transfer.

Kingsley Coman

A familiar face could return to the Parc des Princes. Kingsley Coman is from Paris and came up through the PSG academy as a youngster. He left the French capital in 2014 when he joined Juventus and later went on to score against PSG for FC Bayern Munich in the Champions League final. At 28 years old, Coman would be able to contribute on the pitch with his skill, but also serve as a mentor to many of PSG’s younger players. This deal would likely be easier to pull off for PSG as Bayern Munich is looking to offload players as they were quite active in the transfer market this summer and need to balance the books.
