Paris Saint-Germain and Jadon Sancho could a transfer that happens this summer and one expert believes that Manchester United are keen on moving on from the player.

According to Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato, Sancho is still keen on joining PSG, but they haven’t finalized personal terms yet. PSG has offered him a salary comparable to what he currently makes at Manchester United.

However, progress has stalled recently, and there have been no talks between the two clubs. In the latest episode of PSG Talking, Football Transfers’ Robin Bairner spoke about the newest developments surrounding Sancho and a potential move to the French capital.

“We know Manchester United ideally want to get rid of him,” Bairner said. Now Eric Ten Hag obviously had this huge feud with Sancho last year. He claims that everything’s been pushed to one side, but it’s difficult to see that to some extent. I mean, you don’t push somebody out on loan in January and refuse to play them for months on end if you’re going to forgive them so quickly.

“I think this is a business decision from Manchester United to try and drum up a bigger transfer fee because of course Manchester United know that if they’ve got a player who’s sitting in the stands with the profile of Jadon Sancho he’s not going to be able to fetch the same transfer fee as if the belief is that he’s involved in the squad. Now Sancho is much less of the sort of profile that PSG are searching for this summer.”

Sancho was on loan at Borussia Dortmund for the second half of the 2023-24 season, playing a crucial role in helping the German club reach the UEFA Champions League final.

Last season, the Englishman played 24 total matches between Manchester United and Dortmund while scoring three goals and registering three assists.
