Over the last few days, there have been reports of Manchester United eyeing alternate midfield targets despite their interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported this week that PSG are open to loaning Ugarte, but they want a mandatory purchase clause included. Their preference is for a permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy.
CaughtOffside recently reported that PSG have set their asking price for the midfielder at €59 million. If the reigning Ligue 1 champions’ fee demand is too high for the Red Devils to pay, they reportedly have a list of four players they’ll be pursuing as alternatives.
Journalist Duncan Castles reports that Manchester United are exploring other options for their midfield instead of Ugarte. Some players they’re considering include Martín Zubimendi, Joey Veerman, Adrien Rabiot, and Sander Berge.

Furthermore, Ugarte has already settled on personal terms with Manchester United and is now waiting for the two clubs to wrap up the agreement. Romano also shared that the Uruguayan is expected to leave the French giants.
We should get ugarte by all means. He ticks the boxes of what we need in midfield.
