Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly willing to help facilitate a Manuel Ugarte move to Manchester United. However, the catch is that the French giants want to recoup the amount they invested in the Uruguayan.

Journalist Ben Jacobs revealed on Tuesday that PSG are willing to let Ugarte join Manchester United on a loan deal with an obligation to buy. Moreover, The Telegraph reported this week that PSG are hopeful that the offer to defer payment will appeal to the Premier League side.

Sky Sports News’ Dharmesh Sheth also reported on Wednesday that the two sides prefer a permanent move but a loan with an obligation to buy is also being considered.

Nonetheless, The Daily Mail’s Chris Wheeler also provided new information on Wednesday, revealing that Manchester United was offered the chance to sign Ugarte on loan with an obligation to buy for £51 million.

However, PSG’s valuation is still too high as the Red Devils want to pay £42 million for the former Sporting Lisbon player.

Perhaps a sale to bring in funds could help smooth over the differences in fees that the two clubs have. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see if these two sides find common ground or if this rumor falls by the wayside.
