Manchester United reportedly want another midfield before the summer transfer window closes. However, they’re unwilling to pay a high sum for two players they probably have atop their transfer wish list.
Le Parisien reported this week that the midfielder has gotten the message and knows he’s not in manager Luis Enrique’s plans. Nonetheless, it doesn’t mean that the capital club are willing to give the player away.
According to The Telegraph’s Jason Burt, PSG’s main focus right now appears to be selling Ugarte, though they are holding firm on a price of at least £51.5 million.
While Ugarte has been linked to a move to Old Trafford for the last few weeks, ESPN’s Rob Dawson reports that the Red Devils also don’t intend to overpay for the Uruguayan.
Per Dawson, Erik ten Hag is keen to bring another midfielder for Manchester United. However, his interest in Ugarte and Burnley’s Sander Berge has hit a snag due to the high transfer fees being demanded.

The summer transfer window has reached its final stages, and Manchester United will need to decide soon how to bolster the midfield.
Why not bolster the mid field from within? Everyone is trying it on when it comes to United. Burnley are asking twice what they paid last year for Berge PSG are asking for more than they paid last year for Ugarte. Call there bluff and use the Academy to bridge the gap in mid field.
