Manchester United Could See Player Return Amid Manuel Ugarte Transfer Uncertainty

Manchester United could be expanding its list of alternatives if they cannot land Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte. On Thursday, new information surfaced regarding the Uruguayan.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported this week that PSG are open to loaning Ugarte, but they want a mandatory purchase clause included. Their preference is for a permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy.

Furthermore, Ugarte has already settled on personal terms with Manchester United and is now waiting for the two clubs to wrap up the agreement. Romano also shared that the Uruguayan is expected to leave the French giants.

The latest information from Sports Zone reveals that Sofyan Amrabat could be an alternative for the Red Devils if they fail to secure Ugarte this summer. Moreover, the reports share that Amrabat continues to give his preference to Manchester United despite the interest from Fenerbahçe.

L’Equipe also reports that Manchester United is struggling to reach an agreement with PSG over Ugarte. CaughtOffside recently reported, citing sources, that Manchester United are interested in PSV Eindhoven’s 25-year-old midfielder, Joey Veerman.

  1. United should be looking to bring in both Ugarte and Amrabat. We can not rely on Casamiro anymore. it became very obvious last season that he hasn’t got the legs for the premier league anymore. United should be looking to recruit 2 defensive midfielders
