Manchester United reportedly want another midfield before the summer transfer window closes. Moreover, the Red Devils are receiving a boost regarding Manuel Ugarte as his agent is doing his best to help facilitate a move.
According to Jason Burt from The Telegraph, PSG’s top priority right now seems to be selling Ugarte, and they aren’t budging on their asking price of at least £51.5 million.
Ugarte has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for the past few weeks, but ESPN’s Rob Dawson reports that Manchester United aren’t willing to overpay for the Uruguayan.
Dawson also mentions that Erik ten Hag’s interest in Ugarte and Burnley’s Sander Berge has stalled due to the high transfer fees being demanded. The latest information, though, reveals that the PSG standout’s agent is attempting to clear any roadblocks.
The Athletic’s Laurie Whitwell reports that Jorge Mendes is working to finalize a deal that could see Manchester United sign Ugarte from PSG. A resolution remains possible as the transfer deadline approaches, though the English side have clarified that they are unwilling to meet PSG’s asking price.
