Paris Saint-Germain is interested in Jadon Sancho this summer and have reportedly put forward an offer concerning his personal terms. However, it looks like things won’t move quickly in this situation.
RMC Sport reported on Wednesday that PSG had gauged interest in Manchester United for Sancho but did not pursue it further. As it stands, there is nothing to suggest that the English winger will be a Parisian player in the coming weeks. For now, it is not a “hot lead” for the capital club.
Following this report, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also provided the latest on Sancho’s future amid the links to PSG. In his column for CaughtOffside, Romano revealed the Englishman’s arrival in the French capital isn’t in any advance stage.
“There is still a possibility for Jadon Sancho to leave Manchester United in this transfer window – we have to keep the door open for that, but at the moment, it’s still not advancing to important stages of negotiations,” Romano wrote. “It’s true that Paris Saint-Germain have an interest and that they have spoken with the agents of the player.
“However, there have been reports that PSG are closing in on the player and that’s not correct as far as I understand. He’s on their list, it’s a possibility, but we’re not yet at that stage of the negotiation. Sancho to PSG could be one to watch, but it’s not decided yet, and we’ll have to see as well what Manchester United want to do with the player, because the decision of the club, of INEOS, and of Erik ten Hag will be important to decide the next steps of this story.”
The 24-year-old spent the latter part of the 2023-24 season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, where he was instrumental in their journey to the UEFA Champions League final. Last season, the English winger featured in 24 matches for both Manchester United and Dortmund, netting three goals and providing three assists.
